We are looking for a colleague to join our team at our location in Utrecht.

What are you going to do?

As a Financial Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger within the Theo Pouw Group. You will ensure that financial transactions are processed correctly and on time, and you will make an important contribution to reliable monthly and annual closings.

Within the department, you will work closely with two direct colleagues. Tasks are interchangeable, ensuring continuity and quality. You will also have frequent contact with internal colleagues from various departments to optimally guarantee the completeness and accuracy of the administration.

Your duties will include:

  • Management of general ledger accounting;
  • Booking and reading bank statements;
  • Management of fixed asset administration;
  • Specifying, substantiating, and assessing various balance sheet items and suspense accounts;
  • Preparing for the month-end and year-end closing;
  • Setting up standard journal entries and processing journal entries;
  • Providing information for internal and external audits and supporting audit processes;
  • Preparation of the financial statements;
  • Taking care of VAT and ICP returns;
  • Supporting finance-related projects.

Your regular working days are Tuesday and Friday. The other days are negotiable.

Who are you?

You work accurately and in a structured manner and get energy from administration that is correct down to the last detail. You think ahead, identify deviations in good time, take initiative, and are proactive in improving processes. You also bring the following:

  • A completed vocational or higher vocational education program in financial administration or general ledger accounting;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role within financial administration;
  • Open to pursuing relevant education and training;
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced skills in working with Excel;
  • Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.
