As a functional application manager at the Theo Pouw Group, you will play a pivotal role in the management and optimization of our business applications. We have a diverse application landscape surrounding our ERP system (JD Edwards). We will give you room to grow in the breadth of the role and ask you to actively contribute ideas for improvements.
What are you going to do?
You will be part of our IT department, which consists of eight IT professionals. As an application manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the systems run smoothly, supporting users, and working on improvements. You will do this by:
- Managing, configuring, and optimizing our internal business applications;
- Supporting colleagues in the use of the applications;
- Handling change requests;
- Coordinating updates, releases, and functional changes;
- Switching between users, key users, suppliers, and IT;
- Analyzing and resolving incidents, malfunctions, and technical problems.
As part of the IT department, you will participate in the on-call service. This means that once every 6/8 weeks, you will be available 24/7 for IT issues for one week.
What are we asking?
You have good communication skills and are customer-oriented. You have strong problem-solving skills and can analyze and solve technical problems. This enables you to not only resolve incidents, but also to suggest improvements and assess change requests. You also bring the following to the table:
- Minimum vocational education (MBO) working and thinking level;
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Experience with application management and ERP systems; we use JD Edwards.
- Knowledge of databases and software development is an advantage;
- Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch.

Who are we?
Our location in Utrecht is a one-stop shop offering products and services for ground, road, water, and concrete construction, from primary raw materials and secondary building materials to the processing of construction and demolition waste, soil cleaning, and the deployment of transport equipment, cranes, and shovels. In addition to producing high-quality concrete, we also coordinate the transport of building materials and manage the collection and processing of contaminated soil, construction and demolition waste.
