Garage mechanic

All our drivers and operators need well-functioning equipment to carry out their daily work. At our site in Velsen-Noord, we use various machines and (heavy) equipment for different brands (Volvo, Caterpillar, Sennebogen). Are you the technician we are looking for to maintain, repair, or overhaul our cranes, shovels, and commercial vehicles, among other things?

What are you going to do?

As a mechanic at our garage, you and your colleagues are responsible for ensuring that all (work) vehicles and machines function properly. You do this by:

• Maintenance and repairs to be carried out on our cranes, shovels, and company vehicles;
• Administrative tasks associated with the work;
• Detect and resolve electronic malfunctions.

What are we asking?

You are stress-resistant, know how to set priorities, and know what it takes to properly maintain and repair all engines and hydraulics of our machines. You also bring:

• Vocational diploma, for example in the field of all-round mobile vehicle mechanic or commercial vehicle technician;
• At least 1 year of work experience in troubleshooting electronic malfunctions;
• Knowledge of hydraulics.

As a mechanic, you will be on call once every six weeks. This means that you can be called in 24/7 from Monday to Monday for emergencies. In addition, you will work one day on the weekend once every six weeks. If you work on the weekend, you can of course take a day off during the week.

Applying for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.

A contract for 40 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. In addition, you can count on:

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;

Who are we?

At our location in Velsen, we work in a close-knit team of drivers, operational staff, and office workers. The machine operators sort and process the materials on the production site for our client.
