Concrete mixer driver

What are you going to do?

As a concrete mixer driver at the Theo Pouw Group, you will deliver concrete mortar for ground, road, water, and concrete construction to customers or construction sites. You are the face of the Theo Pouw Group and will have a lot of contact with customers and colleagues while performing your work. You will do this by:

• Delivering ready-mix concrete to customers;
• Responsible for daily maintenance and repair of minor faults on the trailer;
• Keep the vehicle clean.

Our working days usually start between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. In most cases, you will finish at the end of the afternoon and therefore be home in the evening. Occasionally, we have evening, weekend, and night shifts. We therefore ask our drivers to work occasionally in the evenings, at night, and on weekends. In winter, you may be deployed for ice control (snow plowing).

What are we asking?

You strive to deliver goods to our customers on time. Changes to the schedule are sometimes unavoidable, but thanks to your flexible approach, this is no problem for you and you remain calm. You also bring:

• Driver's license C supplemented with valid code 95;
• At least 2 years of experience as a driver;
• Good command of the Dutch language;
• Basic Safety Certificate (VCA) or willing to obtain it;
• Residing in the Utrecht region.

What do we offer?

A contract for 40 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. We participate in the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport. This means you can also count on:

• No-claims bonus scheme of up to €75.00 per month;
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;
• Code 95 refresher training (reimbursement for training hours and courses);
• Work phone;
• Pension scheme with the Transport Pension Fund of 30% per year with a personal contribution of 10.16%;
• Minimum of 27.5 vacation days based on full-time employment;
• Good company restaurant where your order is freshly prepared at a good price.

Who are we?

Our transport department handles the transport of primary and secondary raw materials for earthworks, road construction, hydraulic engineering, and concrete construction. Our fleet in Utrecht consists of 70 well-maintained, modern trucks (Volvo, Scania, MAN, and Mercedes), including trailers, tippers, and concrete mixers. To guarantee the quality and availability of our equipment, we have our own workshop, which allows us to carry out maintenance efficiently.
