Process Operator

At Theo Pouw, we work every day to use innovative techniques to convert waste streams into new raw materials. We are looking for an operator for our newly built sand washing plant. In this role, you will work alongside your colleague to operate the plant and ensure that the process runs safely and efficiently.

What are you going to do?

Together with your colleague, you are responsible for operating and maintaining the washing and crushing equipment. You closely monitor the process and intervene when necessary. Your duties include:

• Operating and controlling the system;
• Monitoring product throughput and quality;
• Identifying, reporting, and resolving malfunctions;
• Performing repairs and maintenance tasks and assisting with major maintenance projects in collaboration with the Technical Department;
• Keeping the facility and work area clean and free of debris;
• Managing third parties (suppliers);

You will be working a two-shift schedule.

What are we asking?

You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and aren’t afraid of heights. You work well with others and stay calm under pressure. You also bring the following:

• Hold a VCA Basic certificate or be willing to obtain one;
• Hold a forklift operator’s license or be willing to obtain one;
• Technical insight and a hands-on approach;
• Basic knowledge of production processes.

What do we offer?

A 38.5-hour-per-week contract for 7 months with the possibility of a permanent position. In addition, you can also count on:

• A salary between €3,034.77 and €3,840.02 gross per month (based on full-time employment, depending on experience);
• Shift differential;
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;

At our facility in Eemshaven, we process contaminated mineral waste 24/7—using equipment such as the thermal cleaner—to produce high-quality, sustainable secondary raw materials. In addition, we produce high-quality concrete and coordinate the transport of building materials and construction and demolition debris.
