Tim has been working as a mechanic in the garage at the Theo Pouw Groep in Utrecht since 2021. Tim ended up at the Theo Pouw Groep through a temp agency after his previous job ended due to COVID-19. Fortunately, this turned out to be a perfect fit, as tinkering with large equipment is exactly what Tim enjoys doing.

The working atmosphere at the Theo Pouw Groep is pleasant. The team in the garage consists of friendly colleagues and the management is easy to approach. Tim does not feel like just a number within the organization. The terms of employment are good and the work is varied. One moment he is working on a gearbox, and the next moment Tim is building trucks. He finds the more rough mechanical work particularly interesting.

Tim has plenty of opportunities to develop at the Theo Pouw Groep. He is currently training to become a level 4 technical specialist in Zwolle, with classes on Monday afternoons, which fits in well with his work at the garage. He has passed all his exams so far at the first attempt. Most of the assignments can be done at school, which means that the workload at home is limited.

Tim previously successfully completed the three-year Level 3 Commercial Vehicle Technology (EBAT) course. He passed all his exams first time, just as he did with his courses to become an MOT inspector and tachograph technician. These courses have given him a wealth of professional knowledge, which now makes his work a lot easier and more efficient.

There is strong cooperation within the team. Colleagues can count on each other and there is a good relationship with the manager. Everyone can express their opinion and there is a lot of trust.
