Are you a talented administrator who enjoys planning and organizing? At the Theo Pouw Group, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the entire HR administration process from start to finish. What are you going to do?

As an HR associate at the Theo Pouw Group, you will be responsible—along with two direct colleagues—for the administrative processes within our HR department. Your duties will largely consist of processing onboarding, transfers, and offboarding procedures in our Afas HR information system. In addition, you will support our HR department in various areas, such as training, absence tracking, and recruitment and selection. You will do this by:

  • Implementing, monitoring, and optimizing administrative processes;
  • Answering general inquiries from employees and managers;
  • Maintaining and monitoring personnel files;
  • Planning and organizing courses and training programs for employees;
  • Project support.

You will be part of a dedicated and friendly HR team consisting of an HR manager, three HR consultants, and three HR associates.

We manage our HR processes in Afas, the integrated HR and payroll system. Using Afas, we manage personnel files, absence registration, leave requests, and payroll processing, among other things. We also use the employee portal and app, so that colleagues can easily view their own data or submit requests.

What are we asking?

You strive for perfection in your work, are meticulous, and maintain a clear overview. You can adapt quickly and keep a cool head in a fast-paced environment. You also have strong communication skills. Additionally, you bring the following:

  • You have completed a Level 4 vocational education program, preferably in the field of HR;
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a support and administrative role;
  • Experience with Excel;
  • Previous experience with Afas is a plus.

What do we offer?

A one-year contract for 28–32 hours per week, with the possibility of permanent employment. We are covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Commercial Freight Transport. This means you can also count on:

  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer, from 10 kilometers one way with a maximum of 50 kilometers per day;
  • 27.5 vacation days based on full-time employment, with additional days from the age of 45;

Who are we?

Our location in Utrecht is a one-stop shop offering products and services for ground, road, water, and concrete construction, from primary raw materials and secondary building materials to the processing of construction and demolition waste, soil cleaning, and the deployment of transport equipment, cranes, and shovels.
