Alwin has been working at the Theo Pouw Groep in Utrecht since 2019. He started as an intern while studying International Business Management (higher professional education). After completing his graduation internship, Alwin was offered a permanent position at the Theo Pouw Groep and has since progressed to become Management Advisor for Subsidies, Innovation, and Projects.

What Alwin appreciates about working at the Theo Pouw Groep is the clear and rapid communication. He experiences short lines of communication, clarity, and the space and freedom to develop himself. The team Alwin works in is close-knit and friendly, and the atmosphere in the workplace is good.

According to Alwin, the corporate culture feels like a family. Successes are celebrated together, and if there is room for improvement, this is discussed and resolved collectively.

The Theo Pouw Groep offers many opportunities for training and development. Alwin himself has completed several training courses. Among other things, he trained as a legal advisor. He completed part of this training during working hours, but most of his study work was done in the evenings and weekends. It was an intensive year, but Alwin passed all his exams first time.

In addition, Alwin took a course on hydrogen and a five-day training course on the environment and the Environment Act. This took place every other week during working hours, together with participants from other companies.

These courses have given Alwin a strong foundation that comes in handy in his work. His career shows that it is possible to advance at Theo Pouw: Alwin started as an intern, then became a project assistant, then an assistant to the management, and now he works in an advisory role.

According to Alwin, the variety and contact with people is what makes the job so enjoyable. One day he works in the office, the next day he is out visiting suppliers or business relations. No two days are the same.

The Theo Pouw Groep offers many opportunities for training and development.

What would you say to someone considering working for the Theo Pouw Groep?
Alwin would definitely recommend the Theo Pouw Groep. There are many opportunities within the company, especially if you show initiative and are willing to work hard. "If you're good for the business, the business will be good for you," is how he sums it up.
