Mechanical Technician

You’ll ensure that our thermal cleaner continues to operate at peak performance and help us convert mineral waste into high-quality building materials. Ready to make a difference?

What are you going to do?

As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll ensure that our system is always in top condition. With your technical knowledge and expertise, you’ll keep the system running 24/7. Malfunctions? You resolve them quickly and efficiently, either on your own or together with the team. In addition, you work on upgrades and expansions and test the system to ensure that everything continues to run smoothly. You work day shifts and on-call shifts. Your duties include:

• Maintenance of the system;
• Identifying and resolving malfunctions;
• All types of mechanical work;
• Renovating and expanding the facility;
• Maintaining contact with third parties.

Your working hours as a mechanical technician are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What are we asking?

If you’re committed to resolving issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring that the system runs smoothly at all times, and enjoy working as part of a team, then we’re looking for you! You also bring the following:

• A completed vocational degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable program, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• Class B driver's license and personal transportation;
• Holds a forklift operator’s license and a certificate in safe operation of aerial work platforms;
• Preferably, knowledge of bearing maintenance, pump technology, PE/PVC welding, and conveyor systems.

A contract for 40 hours per week for 7 months with the prospect of permanent employment. In addition, you can count on:

At our location in Eemshaven, contaminated mineral waste is processed 24/7 using a thermal cleaner to produce high-quality, sustainable secondary raw materials. We also produce high-quality concrete and coordinate the transport of building materials and construction and demolition waste. Our colleagues work on and around the installations to guarantee the quality of our products, ensure optimal production of the installations, and load our own ships and trucks with cranes or shovels (Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Sennebogen).
